DSSC Helper Suit

Ballistic nylon bibs and zip-off arm jacket. Built to move, built for the field.

The DSSC Helper Suit is a two-piece protection sport suit made from ballistic nylon. It pairs a bib overall with a jacket that has zip-off arms, so you can remove the sleeve on your bite arm and slide your bite sleeve on cleanly. It is also one of the few helper suits with a zipped crotch. It moves with you, and it is just as at home on the training field as it is on the trial field.

Key Features

  • Ballistic nylon construction: Tough, abrasion-resistant fabric made for repeated work with dogs.
  • Zip-off jacket arms: Remove the arm that goes into the bite sleeve. No fighting a jacket sleeve underneath your gear.
  • Zipped crotch: A feature few helper suits offer. Better coverage and a more practical suit overall.
  • Excellent mobility: Channel stitching and a bib-and-jacket layout let you run, turn, and take contact without feeling restricted.
  • Adjustable bibs: Buckle shoulder straps and a zippered chest pocket.
  • Ankle zippers: Get the legs on and off over your boots with less hassle.
  • Full-length front zip jacket: Easy on, easy off between sessions.
  • High-visibility accents: Black with orange side and leg panels, finished with DSSC branding.

What's In The Set

  • Bib overall with adjustable buckle straps
  • Jacket with zip-off arms
  • Material: Ballistic nylon
  • Colors: Black with orange accents

Where It Works

  • Training field: Durable enough for daily helper work.
  • Trial field: Clean, professional look for IGP, PSA, and club trials.
  • Seminars and clubs: One suit that holds up to heavy use.

Quick Tip: Unzip the jacket sleeve on your bite arm before you suit up, then slide the bite sleeve on. The sleeve you remove stays out of the way, and you keep full control of your arm. Pair the suit with a DSSC Trial Sleeve for a complete helper setup.

Designed by Dog Sport Supply Co. for helpers who work their dogs hard.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the DSSC Helper Suit?

The suit is a two-piece set. You get a bib overall and a jacket with zip-off arms.

Why do the jacket arms zip off?

So you can remove the sleeve on the arm that goes into the bite sleeve. That gives you a cleaner fit inside the sleeve and better control. The other arm can stay on for coverage or come off too.

Why does the suit have a zipped crotch?

Few helper suits offer one. It makes the suit more practical to wear and adds coverage where you want it.

What is ballistic nylon?

It is a heavy, tightly woven nylon known for abrasion and tear resistance. It is a common choice for gear that takes repeated abuse.

Is it suitable for both training and trials?

Yes. It is tough enough for regular training and clean enough for the trial field.

How do I choose a size?

Check the size options on this page and compare them to your chest, waist, and inseam measurements. If you are between sizes or want help, contact us before ordering.

How do I care for the suit?

Brush off dirt and spot clean as needed. Let it air dry fully before storing it. Avoid high heat.
